Abstract
The study aimed to investigate the role of the family in identifying a child with autism spectrum in the first months of his life and the importance of intervention to reduce it, identifying a child with autism spectrum and ways to overcome them. The sample included (80) parents and therapists from (Jeddah - Medina - Makkah Al-Mukarramah), representing the study population, and the researcher It yielded results: identifying the beginning of a child with autism spectrum in his first months of life "came with a(Weak) degree from the point of view of the study sample, where the general mean of the questionnaire was (2.02) with a standard deviation of (.421); While there is no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) in the opinions of the sample about the axes of the questionnaire as a whole according to the gender variable, and there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the opinions of the sample about the total score of the questionnaire according to the region variable in favor of the sample members residing in the Riyadh region; Researcher recommends The need to provide more training courses for families of autistic children to make them aware of how to diagnose autism during the first periods, and the Media support and awareness-raising regarding dealing with autistic children and work to limit its negative effects on the family in general and the mother in particular.
