Abstract
This study aimed to discover the Role played by open distance learning (ODL) on motivating the self- learning among Az Zarka private university's students. The study sample consisted of (138) students from Az Zarka private university. The data was collected by ODL and self learning questionnaires. The results revealed that the study sample evaluation to ODL and Self-Learning was moderate, and there is a statistical significant relationship between ODL and self-learning. The researcher recommended of generalization of Az Zarka university experiment of ODL on other public university in Jordan.
